A voice o'er the wide blue sea
Where a crowned head's subjects rove
A wail from the Southern plains
The home of the softest flowers
A yearning and a pleading prayer
From the heart yet again
Be Thy hand outstretched to save
Be Thy voice heard yet again
Speak to the souls, who would oppress
Speak to the souls, who'd spare
